All about me! Without...me?

What the heck could I possibly mean when I suggest taking a "self-portrait" without placing yourself in the frame?

Herein lies our next lesson. :)
Self-portraits can expand beyond a picture of your face. These types of self-portraits don't stop speaking to an audience. In fact, they can often tell the viewer more, or at least different things about you. How cool and abstract an idea is that?

For inspiration, look around you. Or dig deep within. What are some of the key components of your personality? Do you collect something? Play a sport or instrument? Are you extroverted or introverted? What defines you? Where do you see yourself in the world?
Sometimes your environment is a space that is crafted or chosen by you, filled with things that spark your interest. Sometimes nature holds the things that make you feel most inspired or free to be who you are. Explore these places!

Here are some examples, but don't be limited by what you see here! As always, we encourage you to think outside of the...frame. Expand your mind and creativity. Come up with a conceptual or abstract idea to tell your story. Just leave yourself physical self out of it this time around. Have fun!
