The Beauty Around - week 4

"For my first roll of film and my first time using a Pentax camera, I used my surrounding neighborhood as a focal point. The cemetery is one of my favorite places to explore as there is an almost equal balance of nature and man-made material. There is a relationship between both the living and non-living. I experimented with various shutter speeds due to the frequent harsh lighting and attempted to capture many living and non-living elements. After looking through my scans I can now recognize how important it is to not over or underexpose the film. After collecting all photos in roughly an hour I am excited to play with taking photos over a longer period of time and finding new places to explore and capture."  - Dylan Folan
